Job summary

ASSURE ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical engineering, construction and maintenance activities for Oil & Gas and Process Plant projects in Singapore.

You will coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors and subcontractors to ensure successful execution. The role requires a degree or diploma inMechanical Engineering and at least 8 years of relevant experience, with strong leadership, planning and HSE competencies to deliver projects

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery or Process Plant projects.
• Experience in mechanical construction, maintenance, piping, equipment installation and commissioning.
• Experience in managing engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and site activities.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering codes, standards and Singapore safety requirements.
• Good communication, leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple project activities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise mechanical engineering, construction and maintenance activities for Oil & Gas and Process Plant projects.
• Lead mechanical engineers, supervisors, technicians and subcontractors to ensure effective project execution.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, method statements, material submissions and technical documents.
• Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical equipment and piping systems.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, punch-list clearance and project handover.
• Ensure proper implementation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Permit-to-Work and HSE requirements.
• Identify technical and site issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Support tender preparation, cost estimation and project planning where required.
• Participate in shutdown, turnaround, maintenance and brownfield modification works.
• Prepare and maintain project reports, technical records and handover documentation.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and support to the mechanical team.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise mechanical engineering, construction and maintenance activities for Oil & Gas and Process Plant projects.
• Lead mechanical engineers, supervisors, technicians and subcontractors to ensure effective project execution.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, method statements, material submissions and technical documents.
• Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical equipment and piping systems.
• Manage works involving process piping, pumps, compressors, tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and other mechanical equipment.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors and other engineering disciplines.
• Monitor project progress, manpower, productivity, materials and equipment requirements.
• Review technical proposals, quotations, variations and subcontractor submissions.
• Ensure mechanical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements and applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, punch-list clearance and project handover.
