Job description

The PMO Director leads the Project Management Office and drives the successful execution of strategic programs and product transitions from the US to Asia. This role provides leadership and oversight to a team of Project Managers to ensure seamless coordination across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality. Establishes governance, ensures adherence to program management standards, and enables operational readiness as Ichor evolves into a product development and volume manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Project Management Office to ensure consistent program governance, execution discipline, and delivery excellence.
  • Oversee and guide product transfers and new product introduction (NPI) programs from US design centers to Asia manufacturing sites.
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure successful readiness, qualification, and ramp‑up of products.
  • Drive alignment between global and regional stakeholders to ensure programs meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
  • Establish standardized tools, processes, and reporting mechanisms to enhance project visibility and accountability.
  • Monitor project performance metrics, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for executive updates, providing clear visibility into project health, issues, and dependencies.
  • Lead cross‑functional governance reviews, ensuring timely decisions and alignment with corporate priorities.
  • Coach and develop Project Managers, strengthening organizational capability and leadership effectiveness.
  • Lead and champion a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and execution excellence across all program teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in project or operations management, including 8 years in a leadership role managing complex, cross‑functional programs.
  • Proven experience leading product transfer and NPI programs within a global manufacturing or high‑tech environment.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, manufacturing readiness, and cross‑site coordination.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading a PMO, implementing governance frameworks, and driving standardization.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • PgMP certification is an advantage.
  • Experience in semiconductor equipment or precision manufacturing industries.
