Job summary

MINDEF is seeking a Training Management professional to oversee the Command and its Groups' continuous learning initiatives, training resources, and budget governance. You will drive learning programmes and ensure alignment of training with organisational needs across the Command.

Responsibilities include identifying learning needs, promoting opportunities, reviewing requirements and budgets, and supervising staff involved in training administration and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Education in Business Management or a related field is preferred.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in training management.
• Good understanding of training management, workforce development, budget management, and financial governance.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Good stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Good planning, coordination, and organisational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Understand the training, learning, and expertise development needs.
• Promote awareness of training opportunities, continuous learning programmes, and development initiatives.
• Review and endorse training requirements, nominations, and budget submissions.
• Oversee training resources, training-related budgets, purchase requisitions, and expenditure.
• Monitor training participation, learning outcomes, and budget utilisation.
• Ensure compliance with financial governance and audit requirements.
• Supervise and guide staff in training administration, stakeholder engagement, and budget management.
• Provide regular updates and recommendations on training and workforce development matters.
