Job summary

JOBSTER PRIVATE LTD. is seeking a Field Support Engineer in Singapore to manage EUCDs, ensure security and reliability, and support IT projects end-to-end.

You will configure OS and software, troubleshoot issues, maintain SLAs, and collaborate with operations and technology teams. Aite-IT experience, weekend rotations, and strong communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• ITE graduate or Diploma in a relevant field.
• 1–3 years of experience handling End User Computing products.
• Knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Outlook.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and antivirus solutions.
• CompTIA and ITIL Foundation certifications are a plus.
• Able to work rotating weekends and scheduled evening IT activities.

Responsibilities

• Configure EUCDs with OS and approved software prior to deployment.
• Grant access to standard desktop software and network resources for end-users.
• Troubleshoot EUCDs via ticketing tools; ensure SLA targets are met.
• Support day-to-day IT operations on assets and patch management.
• Develop and administer IT projects for user computing via wired/wireless tech.
• Update documentation and create user guides for Service Desk.
• Collaborate with Operation Manager and Technology Manager on projects.
• Demonstrate strong communication with external customers.
• Work rotating weekends and scheduled evening IT activities.

Job description

A Field Support engineer is a professional responsible for managing and maintaining all EUCD (End User Computing Devices). Their primary role is to ensure the stability, security of the IT devices, and perform update whenever requirement arises. Handle new projects implementation and ensure all operational SLA met.

Responsibilities:

• Configure all EUCDs with standard operating system and all approved software before deployment.
• Configure existing and new EUCDs to allow authorized end-users to access all the standard desktop software, application, and network resources.
• Perform troubleshooting and resolve of EUCDs issues via ticketing tools. Ensure all SLA are met.
• Support day to day IT operation on asset and patch management.
• Develop, implement, and administer IT projects pertaining to user computing using wired or wireless technology.
• Update/review documentation on EUCDs related. Developing user guides and provides FAQ to Service Desk (Level 1) support.
• Work closely with Operation Manager and Agency's Technology Manager to ensure that projects/implementation are implemented successfully and on schedule.
• Good Communication and soft skill required dealing with external customers.
• Able to work on rotating weekend duties and scheduled evening IT activities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum ITE graduate or Diploma relevant field.
• Preferably 1-3 years of working experience in handling end user computing product such as Windows Operating System. Microsoft application such as Outlook.
• Knowledge of end user computing security best practices.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and Anti-Virus solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Able to works on rotating weekend duties and scheduled evening IT activities.
• Added advantage with Certification such as CompTIA++ and ITIL Foundation.
