Job summary

TEMP-TEAM PTE LTD invites an experienced Design Manager to lead the design management function for major LTA infrastructure projects in Singapore. You will oversee multidisciplinary design coordination, ensure compliance with LTA requirements, and manage consultants from tender through construction.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil or Structural Engineering degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore), with 8–12 years of design experience, including 5–6 years on LTA

Qualifications

• Requires Civil/Structural Engineering degree recognized by PE Board Singapore.
• 8–12 years of design experience.
• 5–6 years of experience on LTA infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of LTA standards, Eurocodes and Singapore codes.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination and digital engineering is advantageous.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (Singapore) is advantageous.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the design management function for major LTA infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will oversee multidisciplinary design coordination, ensure compliance with LTA requirements, and manage consultants throughout the project lifecycle from tender through construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall design process for LTA civil and infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with design consultants, architects, contractors, and specialist subcontractors.
• Review engineering drawings, calculations, technical specifications and design submissions.
• Ensure compliance with LTA, BCA, PUB and other statutory authority requirements.
• Manage design interfaces across civil, structural, geotechnical, utilities and M&E disciplines.
• Review value engineering proposals while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate design approvals, technical meetings and submissions with LTA.
• Provide technical guidance during construction and resolve design-related issues on site.
• Monitor design programme and ensure deliverables meet project milestones.
• Support tender submissions by reviewing technical proposals and methodologies.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a university recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore.
• Minimum 8–12 years of relevant design experience.
• At least 5–6 years of experience on LTA infrastructure projects (MRT, roads, viaducts, tunnels or major civil works).
• Strong knowledge of LTA design standards, Eurocodes and Singapore codes of practice.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination and digital engineering is advantageous.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (Singapore) is advantageous.
