Job summary

HOCK LIAN SENG INFRASTRUCTURE PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our project team for a major LTA MRT Underground Project.

You will manage and coordinate design to ensure constructibility, compliance, and timely delivery on the construction programme. The role requires strong interaction with LTA, engineers, QP, AC, design consultants, subcontractors, BIM team, and site construction team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience on Singapore LTA MRT/underground projects.
• Main Contractor/A1 Contractor experience preferred.
• Experience in underground stations, tunnelling, deep excavation, ERSS or diaphragm walls.
• Good knowledge of civil and structural engineering.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and BIM software; Revit/Navisworks is a plus.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job description

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our project team for a major LTA MRT Underground Project in Singapore.

The successful candidate will work on the Main Contractor side and will be responsible for managing and coordinating design matters to ensure that the approved design is constructible, compliant, coordinated and delivered in accordance with the construction programme.

The role requires strong interaction with the LTA, Engineer/Consultant, Qualified Person (QP), Accredited Checker (AC), design consultants, subcontractors, BIM team and site construction team.

The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in Singapore MRT, underground stations, tunnelling, deep excavation, diaphragm wall, ERSS, temporary works and reinforced concrete structures.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience.

• Strong experience in Singapore LTA MRT / underground infrastructure projects.

• Experience working for a Main Contractor / A1 Contractor is strongly preferred.

• Experience in underground station, tunnelling, deep excavation, ERSS or diaphragm wall works.

• Strong understanding of construction methodology and buildability.

• Experience coordinating with LTA, consultants, QP and Accredited Checker.

• Knowledge of relevant Singapore standards, LTA specifications and Eurocodes.

• Good knowledge of Civil & Structural engineering.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and BIM software.

• Revit / Navisworks experience will be an advantage.

• Strong communication, coordination and problem‑solving skills.

• Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
