Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Data Governance & AI-driven Operational Transformation within Risk Management. This senior role focuses on enhancing risk data governance, BCBS 239 compliance, and driving AI-enabled operational improvements.

You will collaborate with Data Management Office, IT, and business stakeholders to implement KDE management, data quality, and data sourcing standards while ensuring regulatory alignment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, data science, engineering, business, risk management, finance, or a related field.
• Advanced degree or recognized certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM, CDMP) are advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in IT systems, operations, or data management within a financial institution.
• Hands-on experience in data governance, including BCBS 239 requirements, data quality frameworks, data lineage, and KDE management.
• Demonstrated experience in business process re-engineering or operational transformation projects.
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders across departments, functions, and geographies.
• Strong interest in AI and digital technologies, with willingness to learn and apply new tools.

Responsabilités

• Data Governance and BCBS 239: governance for risk data, KDE management, data lineage and EUC controls.
• IT Infrastructure and Reporting: centralization of data sources, reporting automation, dashboards and system deployment.
• AI-driven Operational Transformation: identify areas for AI-enabled improvements and plan execution.
• Stakeholder Coordination: liaise with internal/external stakeholders; update governance committees.
