Job summary

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) seeks an Assistant Vice President/VP, Enterprise Data Governance and Analytics Tooling to lead analytics initiatives across SMBC's APAC franchise. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and data management to deliver dashboards, data products, and governed analytics solutions.

The successful candidate will translate business needs into practical data solutions, drive self-service analytics adoption, and ensure data governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent.
• 3–6 years of analytics, BI, data management, or related experience.
• Experience delivering dashboards or analytics solutions within banking, financial services, or regulated industries.
• Strong business analysis and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of data governance and data management principles.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and identify analytics opportunities.
• Design and deliver dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.
• Translate business needs into data products and reporting requirements.
• Develop analytics use cases and business insights.
• Promote data-driven decision-making through reporting and visualization.
• Support analytics lifecycle from requirements to adoption.
