Job summary

NETWORK FOR ELECTRONIC TRANSFERS (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD invites an operations-focused Data Centre Operator to manage daily data centre activities, ensure system uptime, and uphold security protocols. Reporting to the Head of Data Centre, you will coordinate with support teams to maintain service availability across Kim Chuan and Bedok locations.

The role requires 1–2 years in a data centre, a diploma or higher Nitec in CS/IT or equivalent, and ability to work 24-hour shifts in a three-shift cycle.

Qualifications

• Able to perform 24-hour rotational shifts (3 shifts) to support continuous data centre operations.
• Minimum Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of Windows Server, UNIX, and AIX operating systems.
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience in a Data Centre environment.
• Demonstrate strong initiative and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily data centre operations including batch processing, report printing, system backups, tape management, server reboots, and infrastructure checks to maintain operational efficiency
• Monitor data centre system uptime and connectivity proactively to ensure continuous system availability and prevent downtime
• Log and submit problem management records and assign issues to the appropriate teams for timely resolution
• Enforce physical security procedures within the data centre to safeguard infrastructure and assets
• Escort personnel safely to and from the Data Centres at Kim Chuan and Bedok locations
