Job summary

IDC TECHNOLOGIES (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Data Centre Operations professional to support mission critical data centres in Singapore.

The role involves rotating 12-hour shifts across East and West locations, key management, vendor escorting, and routine infrastructure checks. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data centre operations, ITIL-based incident/change management experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years Data Centre operations experience.
• Experience in high-pressure 24x7 on-call environments.
• Strong ITIL-based incident, problem and change management knowledge.
• Experience supporting Data Centre vendors and outsourcing partners.
• Able to quickly learn and use in-house software.
• Proficient in MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, strong work ethic with an analytical mindset.
• Capable of working independently and in a team.
• Experience in data centre operations within financial institutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day data centre/computer operations tasks (key management, escorting vendors, facilities infrastructure checks, powering-up of onboarded servers, degaussing, routine checks, laptop management).
• Strong ability to support activities in data centre and secure rooms.
• Ensure data centre procedures are followed strictly.
• Ensure prompt escalation of all incidents, adhering to the standard incident response procedure, and track each incident to its complete resolution.
• To generate reports to management.
• Will cover duties as required.
• The candidate will be assigned to a different data centre each month, rotating between East and West locations.
