Job summary

HELIUS TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Data Centre Facilities Manager to monitor and maintain critical infrastructure, including UPS, generators, HVAC, fire suppression, and cabling.

You will coordinate with landlords and ensure preventive maintenance. The role requires 5+ years in data centre facility management, on-call 24x7, ITIL-based incident/change management, strong troubleshooting, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data centre facility management.
• Experience in a 24x7 on-call environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and fire suppression systems in data centres.
• Knowledge of structured cabling and rack-and-stack is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of ITIL-based incident, problem and change management.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in data centre operations within financial institutions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain data centre infrastructure including power, HVAC, fire suppression, and cabling.
• Manage DC/building landlord to ensure preventive maintenance and timely work.
• Respond to alarms, troubleshoot issues, and resolve promptly.
• Liaise with landlord to coordinate maintenance and address infrastructure issues with safety in mind.
• Support off-office hours activities, including on-call duties and coordinating with vendors for repairs.
• Ensure adherence to data centre security procedures.
• Follow incident response procedures, track incidents to closure, and report to stakeholders.
• Generate monthly performance, incident, root cause, and project reports.

Job description

Job Descriptions:

• 1. Monitor and maintain critical data centre infrastructure, including power distribution systems (UPS, generators), HVAC systems, fire suppression systems and structured cabling systems.
• 2. Managed DC/Building landlord ensuring preventive maintenance on data centre infrastructure and systems are performed promptly.
• 3. Respond to alarms, troubleshoot issues, and ensure prompt resolution.
• 4. Liaise with DC/Building landlord to coordinate maintenance schedules, address building infrastructure issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• 5. Support off-office hours activities, including responding to emergency alarms, performing on-call duties, and coordinating with vendors for emergency repairs.
• 6. Ensure strict adherence to data centre physical security procedures.
• 7. Follow documented incident response procedures, track incidents to closure, and communicate with stakeholders.
• 8. Generate reports to management, including monthly performance reports, incident summaries, root cause analyses, and status reports on ongoing projects.

Requirements

• 1. Minimum 5 years of experience in data centre facility management.
• 2. Experience working in a high-pressured environment with 24x7 on-call responsibilities
• 3. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and fire suppression systems in data centres.
• 4. Knowledge of structured cabling system and rack-and-stack will be advantage
• 5. Strong understanding of incident, problem and change management procedures based on ITIL best practices
• 6. Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• 8. Must have prior experience working in data centre operations in financial institutions.
