Job summary

Visa Hunt in Singapore seeks a seasoned data centre facility manager to oversee critical infrastructure including power distribution, cooling, fire suppression, and structured cabling. You will coordinate preventive maintenance, respond to alarms, and ensure uptime in a demanding 24x7 environment.

The role requires ITIL‑driven incident, problem and change management, strong troubleshooting, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data centre facility management.
  • Experience working in a high‑pressured environment with 24x7 on‑call responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and fire suppression systems in data centres.
  • Knowledge of structured cabling system and rack‑and‑stack will be advantage.
  • Strong understanding of incident, problem and change management procedures based on ITIL best practices.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem‑solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have prior experience working in data centre operations in financial institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain critical data centre infrastructure including power distribution systems (UPS, generators), HVAC, fire suppression and cabling.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance with DC/Building landlords and ensure timely execution of tasks.
  • Respond to alarms, troubleshoot issues, and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Liaise with landlords to schedule maintenance and address building infrastructure issues while ensuring safety compliance.
  • Support off‑hours activities, including on‑call duties and vendor coordination for emergency repairs.
  • Ensure strict adherence to data centre physical security procedures.
  • Follow incident response procedures, track incidents to closure, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Generate monthly performance reports, incident summaries, root cause analyses, and status updates on ongoing projects.

  • Managed DC/Building landlord ensuring preventive maintenance on data centre infrastructure and systems are performed promptly.

  • Respond to alarms, troubleshoot issues, and ensure prompt resolution.

  • Liaise with DC/Building landlord to coordinate maintenance schedules, address building infrastructure issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

  • Support off‑office hours activities, including responding to emergency alarms, performing on‑call duties, and coordinating with vendors for emergency repairs.

  • Ensure strict adherence to data centre physical security procedures.

  • Follow documented incident response procedures, track incidents to closure, and communicate with stakeholders.

  • Generate reports to management, including monthly performance reports, incident summaries, root cause analyses, and status reports on ongoing projects.
