Job summary
ALPHAEUS PTE. LTD. is seeking an IT Operations technician to support our healthcare data centre. You will monitor server consoles, mount cartridges in libraries, and maintain software, OS, and daily operations tasks.
The role requires at least a Nitec and up to 6 months of DC experience, comfort with healthcare environments, and willingness to work morning/night shifts and standby. You will also assist with offsite transport, monitor security cameras, and coordinate data centre activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum Nitec in any discipline.
- At least 6 months of data centre experience.
- Comfortable working in a healthcare environment.
- Willing to work morning/night shifts and standby.
Responsibilities
- Monitor server consoles.
- Mount cartridges in cartridge libraries.
- Maintain software applications and operating systems.
- Assist in transporting backup cartridges and disks to offsite locations.
- Monitor security cameras.
- Coordinate all works in the data centre.
- Troubleshoot and escalate batch job failures; assist in fixes.
- Perform daily IT operations tasks such as scheduled shutdowns and backups.
- Assist with any other duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring server console
- Mounting cartridges in cartridge libraries
- Maintaining software applications, operating systems and regular maintenance.
- Assist in transport backup cartridges and disks to offsite locations
- Monitor the security cameras
- Coordinate all works in the data centre
- Troubleshoot and elevate on batch job failures and assist in fixing these problems
- Daily IT Operations tasks, e.g. shutdown of specified databases and application jobs, initiate backup etc.
- Any other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Min Nitec in any disciplines
- At least 6 monthsof DC experience
