Job summary

RGP is seeking a Server & Storage Hardware Subject Matter Expert (Level 3) based in Singapore. This is a highly hands-on role requiring direct diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of server and storage hardware in customer data centers.

You will act as the final L3 escalation point for complex incidents, work with Dell, HPE, and Lenovo hardware, and support Linux/UNIX, VMware/vSphere, and vSAN environments. On-site break-fix is a core responsibility.

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise in server and storage hardware with break-fix capabilities.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, replace and repair hardware in customer data centers.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX, VMware, vSphere, and vSAN environments.
• Understanding of SLA, service contracts and support operations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the final L3 escalation point for complex incidents and critical cases.
• Troubleshoot enterprise server, storage, networking, virtualization, and OS issues.
• Perform hardware break-fix diagnostics, fault isolation, and component replacement.
• Review system logs to identify hardware failures and infrastructure issues.
• Support firmware upgrades, OS patching, software installation, and recovery.
• Analyze Red Hat Linux, VMware, vSphere, and vSAN logs and reports.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to L1/L2 engineers.
• Participate in customer reviews, technical consultations, and on-call support.
• Strong hands-on experience with DELL, HPE, and Lenovo Server & Storage hardware.
• Proven expertise in hardware diagnostics and root cause analysis.
• Experience supporting Linux/UNIX, VMware, vSAN, and Windows environments.

Before reviewing the role, please note that this is a highly hands‑on Server & Storage Hardware position. We are NOT looking for a System Administrator, Infrastructure Administrator, or someone who mainly manages vendors and opens support tickets. We are looking for a true technical expert who can personally diagnose, troubleshoot, replace, and repair server and storage hardware in customer data centers, performing break‑fix activities onsite as the vendor's technical representative.
