Rolls-Royce Solutions Asia Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a System Design Engineer/ Application Engineer (Electrical & Automation) for data center projects in APAC. This hands-on role covers electrical power systems, control systems and automation interfaces, with duties from design to commissioning.

You will collaborate with sales, suppliers and customers, develop technical scopes, review documents, deliver end-to-end solutions, and travel as needed to project sites.

Competenze

• University/college studies in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering.
• 5+ years in diesel genset projects with proven delivery.
• Deep expertise in electrical or mechanical genset systems and cross-discipline integration.
• Strong engineering calculations for electrical load flow or mechanical sizing/thermal.
• Experience delivering electro-mechanical solutions for data centers and power protection.
• Ability to develop and review schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
• Willingness to travel for onsite assignments.
• Understanding of Asian cultures and business practices.
• Excellent teamwork and communication with diverse stakeholders.

Mansioni

• Responsible for all mechanical/ electrical related technical solution engineering for major Data Center Projects in APAC.
• Develop and manage complete scope from initiation to onsite delivery of mechanical systems related to the diesel genset enclosure.
• Work closely with sales to define the technical scope.
• Review/clarify customer's specifications & tender documents.
• Review and finalize the C/D/E document.
• Provide the technical specifications and define the scope of supply for the equipment.
• Coordinate with factory and local suppliers to harmonize the scope of supply.
• Work with suppliers/contractors to quote for the equipment and obtain proposals timely.
• Define and develop electrical and mechanical system requirements for walk-in genset enclosures aligned with project specifications.
• Deliver end-to-end design solutions, including electrical/automation and mechanical designs, supported by detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations and technical evaluations to verify designs and ensure optimal equipment and supplier selection.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Leverage engineering tools, technical databases, and factory standards to deliver high-quality, standardized solutions.
• Support project lifecycle through technical issue resolution, knowledge management, and delivery of presentations and training to stakeholders.
• Review and approve all technical documentation (drawings, schematics, P&IDs, datasheets) to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Define and finalize equipment scope, manage procurement alignment, and raise purchase requisitions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues across electrical, automation, and mechanical systems during project execution.
• Drive continuous improvement through design reviews and lessons learned to enhance system performance and efficiency.
• Travel overseas on business, when required.
• Special assignment from time to time.
