Job summary

Rolls-Royce MTU Power Systems in APAC seeks an Application Engineer to lead electro-mechanical solution engineering for major Data Center Projects. You will deliver end-to-end designs for diesel genset enclosures and coordinate across sales, procurement, and engineering.

This role requires a Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics background with 5+ years of genset or electrical systems experience, strong calculations, and fluent English. Travel may be required; permanent contract, Singapore location.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Mechatronics engineering or relevant disciplines.
• 5+ years of experience in diesel engine/generator or electrical industries with project delivery.
• Deep expertise in genset systems and cross-disciplinary knowledge.
• Strong engineering calculations across electrical/mechanical domains.
• Experience documenting and reviewing schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide electro-mechanical technical solution engineering for APAC data center projects.
• Develop end-to-end designs for walk-in genset enclosures and associated systems.
• Coordinate with sales, procurement, suppliers, and factory to define scope.
• Review customer specs, create technical proposals, and support tendering.
• Perform calculations and ensure designs meet standards and project needs.
• Support lifecycle with technical issue resolution and knowledge transfer.
