Job summary

Public Service Division is seeking a Deputy Manager, Data & AI Governance to develop, maintain, and operationalise the IHL Data & AI Governance Framework, policies, standards and processes. You will translate WOG requirements into practical organisational controls and guidance that can be adopted consistently across institutions.

You will drive governance maturity, promote responsible data and AI use, oversee governance risk assessments, and work with Schools and Departments to ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in data governance, information governance, risk management, compliance, cybersecurity, or related fields.
• Experience interpreting government regulations, circulars and standards.
• Experience developing policies, governance frameworks, SOPs and operating models.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and governance reviews.
• Experience working with enterprise stakeholders across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to Data & AI Governance Strategy, Policy and Standards initiatives.
• Translate government directives into practical operational processes and SOPs.
• Design governance workflows for data access, sharing, quality, metadata, AI assessments, risk approvals and monitoring.
• Embed governance requirements with business owners, data stewards and system owners.
• Develop governance operating procedures balancing compliance with efficiency.
• Support governance committees with papers, reports and recommendations.
