Job summary

Charterhouse Partnership seeks a Data and AI governance expert to embed responsible, trustworthy, and compliant data governance and AI practices across its data and AI initiatives. The role sits at the Chief Data Office, working with technical teams to ensure governance standards and ethical requirements are integrated from day one.

You will guide teams on policies, lead reviews of governance frameworks, assess ethical risks, and communicate the business value of governance and AI solutions,

Job description

A forward-looking technology organisation is seeking a Data and AI governance expert to help embed responsible, trustworthy, and compliant data governance and AI practices across its data and AI initiatives.

This role sits at the Chief Data Office, working alongside technical teams to ensure ethical considerations, data governance standards, AI governance requirements and value measurement are integrated from day one.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with data and AI project and delivery teams to embed robust data governance practices and responsible AI practices throughout the full data and AI development lifecycle
• Guide teams on compliance with data governance and AI governance standards, policies, and ethical requirements
• Act as a central point of coordination for end-to-end data and AI governance activities and stakeholder engagement
• Lead regular reviews and continuous improvement of AI governance frameworks and processes
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify ethical risks, data and AI governance gaps, and improvement opportunities
• Support teams in assessing and communicating the business and financial value of data governance optimisations and AI solutions
• Champion a strong culture of ethical and trustworthy data management and AI adoption across the organisation

Requirements:

• Strong end-to-end experience delivering data governance initiatives, AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI solutions
• Deep understanding of data governance principles, AI technologies and their broader business, ethical and regulatory implications
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate across multidisciplinary data, technology, business and compliance teams
• Clear communication and leadership skills, with the confidence to guide complex data and AI governance discussions
• Hands-on experience with data governance, AI governance, ethics, risk, or regulatory compliance is highly valued
