Job summary

AGI Freight Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an energetic Logistics Customer Service/Account Executive to develop and manage new and existing accounts. You will handle sea export bookings, respond to RFIs/RFQs, source best rates, and follow up on overseas enquiries, building strong rapport with carriers and clients.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in freight forwarding, good English, the ability to work under pressure, and a customer‑oriented, proactive mindset. Hybrid work available.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage new and existing accounts.
• Respond to RFI/RFQs and daily adhoc enquiries
• Source for the best rates for ocean enquiries and feedback on any business opportunities.
• Follow up on sales leads and enquiries from overseas agents and referrals.
• Develop new products and/or trade lanes
• Manage client bookings with shipping lines or coloaders
• Input booking detail and costing into the freight systems
• Check costing and resolve any vendor billing issues.
• Execute B/L based on customer service instructions
• Handle sea export shipment bookings and invoicing
• Attend to customers’ enquiries via email
• Provide timely feedback on freight status
• Ensure timely creation & updates for customers’ SOPs
• Maintain 100% compliance and customer satisfaction
• Respond to complaints promptly and propose solutions
• Build rapport with external and internal customers
• Prepare and submit reports timely
• Collaborate effectively within the team
• Take on additional tasks as needed by supervisor/manager

Job description

• To follow up on sales leads and enquiries from all overseas agents and/or referrals.
• To develop new products and/or trade lanes
• Manage client booking with shipping lines or coloaders
• Input booking detail and costing into the freight systems
• Check costing and accept or dispute any vendors billing not in line with quotation.
• Other duties as may be delegated by management from time to time.
• Able to execute B/L base on customer service instructions and comply to carrier / agent requirement.
• Handle all sea export shipment bookings via different channels of communication + invoicing.
• Attend to customers’ enquiries via email wherever necessary.
• To give timely feedback to customers on freight status
• Ensure timely creation & updates for specific customers’ SOPs.
• Good understanding of customers’ profiles and handling requirements to ensure 100% compliance, 100% customer satisfaction all the time.
• Respond to customer complaints and enquiries promptly (sense of urgency) and provide possible suggestions / solutions or assist with recovery actions whenever possible.
• Build good business rapport with both external and internal customers.
• Prepare and submit reports timely whenever required.
• Able to work in team with communication and understanding of work flow.
• Take on additional tasks delegated by Department Supervisor/ Manager
