Job summary

SPRING VALLEY SHIPPING MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking an organized Crewing Assistant to support our crewing department for a fleet of vessels, focusing on bulk carriers. The role involves arranging interviews, travel, lodging, and ensuring seafarers meet COE and flag requirements.

You will verify licences, permits, and documentation, and brief seafarers on contracts and policies, while maintaining confidentiality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Maritime studies or related field.
• At least 2 years of crew management.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Crewing Manager and crewing department with fleet operations for Bulk Carriers.
• Arrange interviews, medical check-ups, travel, lodging for seafarers.
• Arrange for and verify seafarers’ licences, permits, certificates, and documentation.
• Prepare and brief seafarers on employment contracts and company policies.
• Maintain confidentiality.

Job Description:

• Report to Crewing Manager and support crewing department with fleet of vessels, especially in Bulk Carriers.
• Arrange for interviews, medical check-ups, travel, lodging, etc. for seafarers apply COE from MPA and other flag requirements.
• Arrange for and verify seafarers’ licences, permits, certificates, and documentation into the system.
• Prepare and brief seafarers on their employment contracts, company policies, and procedures.
• Ensure and maintain confidentiality.
• Any other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Maritime studies or related fields （Human Resource Management）。
• At least 2 years of crew management.
• Able to work well both independently and in a team.
