Job description

Fratelli Cosulich Singapore is seeking a Crewing Executive to support the Shipping department. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that vessels are adequately manned in accordance with Flag State requirements and the company’s Safety Management System. They will manage the full crew lifecycle, from recruitment and training to contractual compliance, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to international maritime regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that ships are adequately manned in accordance with Flag State requirement and company’s Safety Management System.
  • Ensure crew are suitably qualified, trained and medically fit, meeting relevant STCW, ILO, MPA and MOM requirements.
  • Identify crew training requirements, plan, and arrange mandatory and non‑mandatory training/courses as per guidance from Shipping Manager.
  • Ensure proper PPE is supplied to all staff, maintain and monitor records of PPE supplied.
  • Update and maintain personal files of shipboard staff.
  • Arrange medical check‑ups, obtain local working permits, travel, lodging, and other appointments for the crew.
  • Institute disciplinary action as per Safety Management System and guidance from Shipping Manager.
  • Participate in management review meetings and office audits.
  • Assist and participate in any shipboard emergencies as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
  • Coordinate crew sign‑on/sign‑off process.
  • Ensure crew relieved on time and in the most cost‑effective way.
  • Prepare and brief sea staff on their employment contract and familiarization of company’s policies.
  • Assist as required to support functions of the departments.
Qualifications

  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work well with others in a fast‑paced working environment.
  • Able to work independently and as a team.
  • Knowledge of mandatory STCW certifications, Seafarer’s employment, MLC 2006, and Flag States requirements.
