Job summary

Ng Teng Fong General Hospital on JurongHealth Campus is seeking an experienced kitchen assistant to support our hospital kitchen operations, ensuring patient meals and catering events are prepared to the highest standards.

You will work in a collaborative team, uphold food safety and sanitation, monitor equipment, and help manage food costs and labor while delivering compassionate, reliable service to patients and staff.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' relevant experience in Food & Beverage.
• Recognised Culinary Certificate is advantageous.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in hospital or institutional catering is a plus.

• Assist to manage all kitchen operations and processes according to the standard operating procedure.
• Plan and manage all the food preparation in the kitchen for patients meals and catering events.
• Assist in menu preparation and conduct quality checks.
• Ensure proper equipment operations and maintenance, safety and sanitation, and control of food costs, supplies and labour.

• Assist to manage all kitchen operations and processes according to the standard operating procedure.
• Plan and manage all the food preparation in the kitchen for patients meal and catering events.

• Ensure proper: 1) Equipment operations and maintenance, 2) Safety and sanitation in kitchen, 3) Ensure proper control of food costs, supplies and labour.

Requirements:

• Recognised Culinary Certificate will be an advantage.
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience in similar capacity in Food & Beverage.
• Good team player, ability to work as a team.
• Goodinterpersonal skills.
