Job summary

JurongHealth Campus is seeking a supervisory role in our hospital catering services. You will oversee meal preparation, ensure quality and safety standards, and manage meal ordering and distribution in a high-volume environment.

You will coordinate with nursing and facilities teams, monitor hygiene and safety, and handle inquiries from patients and staff. Experience in food service within hospitals or hotels is preferred; proficiency in MS Office and a second language are advantages.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE 'N' Level / 'O' Level / Nitec; Diploma holder an added advantage.
• 5-7 years of related experience at a supervisory level, preferably in hospital, upscale hotel, restaurant, or high volume food service facility.
• Basic Food Hygiene certification.
• Proficient in spoken English; second language a plus.

Responsibilities

• Generate patient meal orders and meal summaries.
• Handle enquiries and complaints on patient meals.
• Monitor and record control points such as reheating, temperature checks, and report deviations for corrective action.
• Report repair/maintenance needs to One Response Centre (ORC).
• Carry out checker function by cross-checking meals and order chit before loading into food trolley.
• Ensure adherence to food hygiene, critical control point, Halal and workplace safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Generate patient meal orders and meal summaries
• Handle enquiries and complaints on patient meals
• Monitor and record control points such as reheating of food trolley, chiller & freezer temperature, and report on deviations for immediate corrective action
• Report repair/maintenance needs to One Response Centre (ORC)
• Carry out Checker function by cross-checking assembled meals and meal order chit before loading into food trolley.
• Ensure standards related to food hygiene, critical control point, Halal and workplace safety are adhered strictly.
• Report workplace safety, food safety and other operations issue to supervisor timely.
• Co-ordinate and generate all catering orders.
• Ensure work area is cleaned up after each dishing/assembly session
• Follow all instructions given by Supervisor.

Requirements:

• Minimum GCE 'N' Level / 'O' Level / Nitec. Diploma holder will have an added advantage.
• 5-7 years of related experience at a supervisory level, preferably in hospital, upscale hotel, restaurant, or high volume food service facility.Basic Food Hygiene certified
• Proficient in spoken English. Fluency in a second language will be an advantage.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge in Electronic Meal Ordering System will be added advantage.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to work in cold room environment between 4 - 18 °C.
• Physically fit and strong.
