Job summary

JurongHealth Campus is seeking an experienced catering supervisor to oversee meal production and distribution for its hospital facilities. You will manage meal orders, verify accuracy, and ensure strict food hygiene and safety standards while coordinating with the ORC for repairs and maintenance.

The role requires 5–7 years in a supervisory capacity within hospital, hotel, or high-volume food service, with strong English communication and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE ‘N’ Level / ‘O’ Level; Diploma holders have added advantage.
• 5–7 years of supervisory experience in hospital, hotel, or high-volume food service.
• Proficient in spoken English; second language is a plus.
• Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Electronic Meal Ordering System is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Generate and coordinate all catering meal orders and summaries.
• Handle enquiries and complaints on patient meals and ensure service excellence.
• Monitor critical control points and temperatures; report deviations for corrective action.
• Cross-check meals and orders before loading into trolleys; perform checker function.
• Enforce food hygiene, halal, and workplace safety standards; report issues timely.
• Coordinate repairs/maintenance requests with ORC as needed.
• Maintain clean work areas after dishing/assembly sessions.

Responsibilities

• Generate patient meal orders and meal summaries
• Handle enquiries and complaints on patient meals
• Monitor and record control points such as reheating of food trolley, chiller & freezer temperature, and report on deviations for immediate corrective action
• Report repair/maintenance needs to One Response Centre (ORC)
• Carry out Checker function by cross-checking assembled meals and meal order chit before loading into food trolley.
• Ensure standards related to food hygiene, critical control point, Halal and workplace safety are adhered strictly.
• Report workplace safety, food safety and other operations issue to supervisor timely.
• Co-ordinate and generate all catering orders.
• Ensure work area is cleaned up after each dishing/assembly session
• Follow all instructions given by Supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum GCE ‘N’ Level / ‘O’ Level / Nitec. Diploma holder will have an added advantage.
• 5-7 years of related experience at a supervisory level, preferably in hospital, upscale hotel, restaurant, or high volume food service facility.Basic Food Hygiene certified
• Proficient in spoken English. Fluency in a second language will be an advantage.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge in Electronic Meal Ordering System will be added advantage.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to work in cold room environment between 4 - 18 ° C.
• Physically fit and strong.
