Primary Objectives of this Job:

• Plan and execute laboratory experiments, use tests or small‑scale investigations.
• Lead small‑scale studies and data gathering for manufacturing operations (process investigations, improvement projects).
• Lead the evaluation of process improvements and design of small‑scale experiments to implement process improvements.
• Act as technical subject matter expert (SME) in small scale experiment troubleshooting.
• Define and align the requirements for complex laboratory experiments according to internal and external guidelines for small scale process development and validation, process investigations and improvements, qualified scale down models and material use tests.
• Design, plan and execute small scale experiments according to project timelines. Lead discussions to align experimental requirements and plan with the relevant stakeholders.
• Perform laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration as per laboratory procedures. Troubleshoot equipment failures.

Education and Experience Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, biotechnology, biochemical engineering with minimum 6 years of relevant experience or master’s degree with minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Hands‑on experience with cell culture/upstream processes and/or downstream purification processes in a small scale lab environment.
• Hands‑on experience in scale down implementation, experiment DOE and lab scale process troubleshooting.
