Job summary

PROSKILL WORKFORCE PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned professional to assist the Lead Resident Engineer in overseeing construction and commissioning of works in Singapore.

The role involves processing claims from contractors such as progress payments, variations, and extension of time, while coordinating activities between design teams and contractors to ensure schedule integrity and QA compliance. The candidate should bring a relevant engineering degree and at least 15 years of construction

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of construction experience, with at least 10 years on large water/wastewater plant projects.
• Strong communication and supervisory abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Resident Engineer to oversee construction and commissioning, including processing claims from Contractors (progress payments, variations, and extension of time).
• Coordinate work between the Design Team and Contractors to ensure scheduling, cost controls, document controls, and QA programmes conform to contract specifications.
• Review and update the Contractor’s schedules showing status of all projects and cost status for all contracts.
• Manage QA and safety requirements and supervise the Consultant’s site supervision team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Lead Resident Engineer to oversee the construction and commissioning of the works, including processing claims from the Contractors such as progress payments, variations, and requests for extension of time


• Oversee and coordinate the work between the Design Team and Contractors, for ensuring consistency in scheduling, cost controls, documents controls and implementation of quality assurance programmes, and ensuring compliance with contract specifications


• Review and updating of the Contractor’s schedules showing the status of all projects as well as cost status for all contracts


• Managing the quality assurance and safety requirements, and also the Consultant’s site supervision team

Requirements:

• Possess a relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent certificate.


• At least 15 years of construction experience, of which at least ten (10) years shall be in managing the construction of large used water/water treatment plant projects construction contracts of similar size and complexity.


• Good communication and supervisory skills.
