Job summary

binnies singapore pte. ltd. is looking for an experienced construction manager to oversee the construction and commissioning of large water treatment projects in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have around 15 years of experience, including 10 years in managing similar projects, and a relevant engineering degree.

Responsibilities include supervising construction activities, coordinating between design and contractors, reviewing schedules, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Approximately 15 years of construction experience with at least 10 years on large water treatment plants.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 scheduling software preferred.
• Strong supervisory capabilities.

• Assist the PM to oversee the construction and commissioning of the works, including processing claims from the contractors such as progress payments, variations, and requests for extension of time
• Oversee and coordinate the work between the design team and contractors, ensuring consistency in scheduling, cost controls, document controls and implementation of quality assurance programmes, and ensuring compliance with contract specifications
• Review and update the contractor’s schedules showing the status of all projects as well as the cost status for all contracts
• Manage the quality assurance and safety requirements, and also the consultant’s site supervision team

Requirements

• Approximately 15 years of construction experience, including at least 10 years managing the construction of large water/water treatment plant projects of similar size and complexity, and possession of a relevant engineering degree or certification
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 scheduling software would be advantageous
• Good supervisory skills
• Project experience in water/water treatment plant projects is an advantage
