Job summary

Memiontec Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning efforts for water, wastewater and ultrapure water projects in Singapore. You will collaborate with the Project Manager to deliver safely, on time and within budget, while upholding contractual and quality requirements.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of EPC, construction, water/wastewater or process-plant project experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and subcontractors.
  • Good understanding of project planning, scheduling and contract administration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities across the project lifecycle.
  • Assist Project Manager with planning, executing and monitoring schedules and budgets.
  • Review drawings, specs and method statements for compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on technical matters.
  • Supervise site activities to ensure safety, quality and conformance with drawings.
  • Support FAT/SAT and project handover activities and documentation.

Job description

Position Summary

The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for leading andcoordinating the engineering and site execution of EPC water, wastewater andultrapure water treatment projects. Working closely with the Project Manager,the role oversees project engineering, construction, procurement andcommissioning activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule,within budget and in compliance with contractual and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, executing and monitoring project schedules, budgets and resource allocation.
  • Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, method statements and material submissions for compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on technical and project execution matters.
  • Supervise site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality standards, Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements and project specifications.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and recommend corrective actions to minimise delays.
  • Support procurement activities, including technical evaluations, material approvals and vendor coordination.
  • Participate in project meetings, prepare progress reports and follow up on outstanding actions.
  • Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning, performance testing and project handover.
  • Troubleshoot technical and site issues, working with multidisciplinary teams to implement effective solutions.
  • Assist in managing variation orders (VOs), technical clarifications and project documentation.
  • Mentor Project Engineers and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company procedures and quality management systems.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in EPC, construction, water, wastewater, ultrapure water or process plant projects.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design, construction methodology, installation and commissioning.
  • Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and subcontractors.
  • Good understanding of project planning, scheduling and project execution.
  • Familiarity with contract administration, variation orders and project documentation will be an advantage.Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project. Experience with Primavera P6 will be an advantage.
