Job summary

JDA WMS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Construction Manager to own a government hospital project, driving mechanical installation from planning through completion in a lab and clean-room environment.

You will deliver milestones using PDCA, prepare master schedules, quality and safety plans, and manage budgets while coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors and mentoring site staff on best practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma with ≥10 years' relevant experience.
• ≥15 years total experience, with ≥5 years in managerial or project management roles.
• 8–10 years in mechanical/electrical installation and PM on contracts $10–$100M.
• Experience in lab, clean room, chiller, data centre, or hospital projects.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000/45001/14001 and Building Construction Safety Supervisor certification.
• Contractor-side background preferred; strong cross-disciplinary coordination skills.

• Deliver project milestones on schedule, applying a plan-do-check-action (PDCA) approach to quality, safety, and environmental targets
• Draw up the master construction schedule, quality and safety plans, risk assessments, and budget, aligned to contract requirements
• Introduce new or improved installation methods to control cost and boost efficiency
• Manage day-to-day coordination with suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating variations and resolving site issues
• Establish clear communication channels across the site team and with the customer
• Mentor site staff, addressing skill gaps through ongoing training and guidance

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Diploma with at least 10 years of relevant industry experience
• At least 15 years' overall experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or project manager capacity
• 8-10 years specifically in mechanical/electrical installation and project management, on contracts valued between $10-100 million
• Proven track record in lab, clean room, chiller, data centre, or hospital projects (LTA/condo experience not applicable)
• Familiar with ISO 9000/45001/14001 standards and hold a Building Construction Safety Supervisor certification
• Preferred: contractor-side background with strong cross-disciplinary coordination skills
