Job summary

JDA WMS Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Project Manager to lead a government hospital project. You will head a technical team with strong lab and clean room installation experience to ensure delivery on schedule, quality, and safety.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering background (or Diploma with extensive experience) and a track record in large-scale installation projects, including chiller/data centre installations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team to deliver on schedule under a PDCA approach.
• Develop master schedule, ISO Quality Plan, OSHA Safety Plan, risk mitigation, and budget plans.
• Oversee installation methods, driving efficiency and cost-saving improvements.
• Build relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers; negotiate variations as needed.
• Coordinate site staff and subcontractors on safety compliance and daily communication.
• Guide and train junior staff; resolve site issues proactively.

Job description

• Lead the project team to deliver on schedule under a plan-do-check-action (PDCA) approach
• Develop the master schedule, ISO Quality Plan, OSHA Safety Plan, risk mitigation, and budget plans
• Oversee installation methods, driving efficiency and cost-saving improvements
• Build relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers, negotiating variations as needed
• Coordinate site staff and subcontractors on safety compliance and daily communication
• Guide and train junior staff, resolving site issues proactively

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Diploma with at least 10 years of relevant experience
• Minimum 15 years' relevant experience, including 5 years in a managerial/project manager role
• 8-10 years of installation and project management experience (Mechanical/Electrical), with contract values ranging from $10-100 million
• Strong background in lab, clean room, chiller, data centre, or hospital installations
• Knowledge of ISO 9000/45001/14001 and Building Construction Safety Supervisor certification
• Preferred: candidates with contractor-side experience and strong technical coordination across disciplines
