Job summary

SOLIDTEK M&E PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a professional to manage HR and procurement duties across site and office operations. You will handle work pass processes, payroll, and regulatory compliance while coordinating supplier relations and purchasing activities.

The role requires 2–3 years’ experience in HR or purchasing within construction, with strong Excel and English communication. Mandarin knowledge is advantageous for supplier coordination and multi-site support.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in HR and/or Purchasing, preferably within the Singapore construction industry.
• Knowledge of MOM regulations, WICA, and steel material specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, to manage payroll and procurement tracking.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to engage effectively with suppliers and workforce.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• English communication is essential; Mandarin or other languages advantageous for coordinating with suppliers and workers.

Responsibilities

• Administer work pass applications, renewals, and cancellations for WP, SP, and EP via MOM Online.
• Process monthly payroll including overtime calculations, CPF contributions, and Foreign Worker Levy payments accurately and timely.
• Ensure company policies comply with the Employment Act and EFMA to maintain legal compliance.
• Maintain accurate worker records including training certificates and medical insurance documentation.
• Post job advertisements, screen candidates, and conduct orientations to recruit site workers and office staff.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers for raw steel, hardware, welding consumables, and PPE to support project needs.
• Obtain multiple quotes and negotiate prices to secure cost-effective procurement.
• Issue purchase orders based on site requirements and track delivery schedules to prevent project delays.
• Coordinate with yard or site supervisors to monitor inventory levels and verify deliveries against delivery orders.
• Liaise with MOM, BCA, NEA for licensing, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage office supplies and coordinate maintenance or insurance for vehicles and machinery.
