Royal Ocean Marine is seeking a Commercial Manager /Business Development manager to join our client team in the maritime ship repairing/ shipyards /offshore industry. In this role, the Commercial Manager will be responsible for overseeing all commercial , managing client relationships and implementing strategies to improve profitability. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in maritime and experience in commercial management.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Manage client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers and partners
  • Analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities
  • Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions when needed
  • Lead and motivate the commercial team to ensure operational excellence
  • Represent the company in industry events and conferences
  • Submit all proposals / tenders and track open bids or proposals submitted and ensure timely follow up action with Clients until award outcome
  • - Represent Company to attend industry events associated with the renewables markets to promote our services
  • - Provide reporting or updates in Monthly Management Review meeting to Senior Management
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial management/ Shipyard commercial / Business Development in the maritime industry
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field preferably from Naval Architect or marine engineering
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful commercial strategies
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team
  • Willingness to travel and attend clients/ industry events as needed
  • Those from the shipyard / ship repairs/ marine engineering company will be added advantage
