Job summary

STOKED ASSOCIATES PTE. LTD. is hiring a Quantity Surveyor to prepare cost estimates, budgets and procurement plans for commercial interior projects up to 20,000 sqft. You will lead BOQ preparation, cost control and vendor negotiations to achieve project feasibility and profitability.

You will review contracts, manage progress payments and conduct site audits to ensure compliance with regulations while mentoring junior QS staff in a fast-paced design & build environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in a design & build, commercial interior fit-out or construction environment.
• Familiar with cost estimation, quantity take-offs, tender preparation, quotation evaluation and project cost control.
• Able to prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, quotations, progress claims and variation orders.
• Good understanding of construction materials, specifications, drawings and project requirements.
• Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects, work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and procurement plans for commercial interior projects.
• Oversee material take-offs and the preparation of BOQ for cost planning.
• Evaluate, negotiate, and finalize contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage and track project expenditures, progress claims and variations.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers and contractors to ensure budgets align with design.
• Review and assess contract terms, manage progress payments and final account settlements.
• Conduct site visits and audits to verify work progress and compliance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering for efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore's building codes and procurement regulations.
• Mentor junior quantity surveyors and foster cost-management excellence.
