Job summary

Staffhub Group in Singapore is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage pre- and post-contract activities for M&E and civil projects.

You will prepare cost estimates, evaluate subcontractor quotes, monitor budgets, and support tender submissions; a Diploma/Degree in QS or related engineering field and at least five years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Civil Engineering or other equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in the related field (pre and post contract), preferably with Main-Con or M&E or other engineering services company.
• Experienced in M&E projects.
• Proficient and competent in MS Office applications, particularly in Excel.
• Able to read & interpret project specifications/drawings.

Responsibilities

• Study specifications and understand customer requirements to support tender and pricing.
• Source, evaluate and select subcontractors/vendors’ quotations for tender.
• Coordinate with technical/engineering team on proposals and enquiries.
• Prepare BoQ take-off, cost estimation, and cost summaries.
• Perform cost analysis and present tender outcomes to Management for decision.
• Prepare pricing summaries and compile tender documents for submission to customers.
• Organise and transfer awarded projects to project department for execution; assist in kick-off meetings.
• Contractual administration including progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.
• Monitor project cost control and budget; oversee project insurance and DLP.
• Attend site meetings and conduct site measurements.
• Other ad-hoc duties assigned.
