Job summary

Mei De Coffeeshop in Singapore seeks an Operations Lead to oversee daily operations of the drinks stall and coffeeshop/canteen, ensuring quality beverages, consistent service, staff management, and smooth facilities performance.

You will lead and train the team, manage stock and cash handling, coordinate with vendors for maintenance and hygiene, uphold FSC Level 1 standards, and drive customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long shifts (8+ hours)
• Experience in Food & Beverage operations
• Supervisory experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Prepare traditional coffee, tea, toast sets, and other drinks to quality standards.
• Monitor and maintain food and drink quality to meet customer expectations.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the drinks stall and coffeeshop.
• Deliver high standards of customer service to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Conduct stock taking and place timely orders to ensure inventory.
• Manage cash handling at the drinks stall according to SOP guidelines.
• Create monthly staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
• Monitor staffing levels and adjust to maintain sufficient manpower.
• Lead, motivate, and manage the team to maintain productivity and morale.
• Coordinate with vendors for pest control and grease-trap cleaning to ensure timely service delivery.
• Ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met and facilities are well-maintained.
• Record meter readings monthly for operational tracking and respond to power trips with authorities when needed.
