Qualifications

• Experience in a relevant field (e.g. clean energy, built environment, carbon capture, industrial decarbonisation, climate science).
• Strong interest in climate technologies with curiosity and willingness to engage deeply with technical subject matter.
• Ability to carry out deep research and analyses of technical and economic feasibility of emerging climate technologies.
• Ability to translate technical analyses into clear policy insights and actionable recommendations.
• Comfortable engaging diverse external stakeholders, including venture capital firms, climate tech start-ups, corporates and researchers, to identify emerging opportunities, build partnerships and bring the best ideas to Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Technology scouting: Identify and uncover emerging climate mitigation and adaptation technologies with potential to be deployed in Singapore.
• Technology assessment and deployment: Assess the technical, economic and deployment potential of promising technologies, and chart pathways for adoption, piloting and scale-up in Singapore.
• R&D ecosystem development: Shape Singapore’s climate technology and innovation ecosystem by identifying gaps in the public R&D landscape.
• Policy analysis and support: Undertake deep technical and scientific analysis to support national climate policies and strategies.
