Job summary

Empower Partners Singapore is assisting a global bank to appoint a Head of Credit Risk in Singapore. The role seeks a senior credit leader with deep financing and structuring experience, capable of independent decisioning across a diverse portfolio.

The candidate will lead credit risk assessment, approve complex financing proposals, and represent Credit Risk in governance discussions while building and guiding a high-calibre team.

Qualifications

• Extensive credit risk experience in a global or regional bank.
• Strong track record in credit structuring, financing transactions and credit decisioning.
• Broad sector and lending product exposure, including complex or cross-border deals.
• Credibility with senior bankers and the judgement to make difficult credit calls.
• Strong leadership skills and a commercial understanding of how deals are originated and executed.

Responsibilities

• Lead credit risk assessment and approval for corporate and institutional clients.
• Review complex financing structures, transactions and lending proposals.
• Assess risk across sectors, markets and a broad range of lending products.
• Provide clear, independent challenge while working constructively with deal teams.
• Set credit conditions, monitor portfolio risks and manage emerging exposures.
• Represent Credit Risk in senior business and governance discussions.
• Lead and develop the credit risk team.
