Job summary

Ethos BeathChapman is recruiting a Vice President – Credit Risk for a global bank in Singapore. You will lead credit strategy, portfolio oversight and risk governance across the Consumer Finance portfolio, coordinating with regional teams.

The role requires 10+ years in credit risk, strong leadership of senior professionals, and deep knowledge of Southeast Asian markets including Indonesia, focusing on IFRS9/CECL, risk-adjusted profitability and robust governance.

Qualifications

10+ years in credit risk within retail/consumer banking.
Proven leadership of senior risk professionals.
Strong knowledge of SEA consumer finance markets, especially Indonesia.
Deep understanding of consumer lending lifecycle risk management.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of credit risk strategy across Consumer Finance.
Own underwriting policy, credit appetite, scorecards and decisioning.
Monitor portfolio performance, early warning indicators and stress testing.
Oversee IFRS 9/CECL provisioning and capital optimisation.
Lead model governance, validation and regulatory compliance.
Partner with Product, Pricing, Finance and Collections on risk-adjusted profitability.
Present risk metrics to senior governance forums.
Develop and mentor a high-performing credit risk team.
