Job summary

TLG Gourmet Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support daily cooking and food preparation under supervision. You will follow established recipes and procedures to ensure consistency and quality across menu items.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a positive, team-focused attitude. Weekend and public holiday shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment preferred.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items under supervision.
• Follow kitchen procedures and recipes to ensure consistency and quality.
• Keep kitchen areas clean, organized, and in line with hygiene and safety standards.
• Store food items properly and assist in stock rotation.
• Support the team with preparation tasks like chopping, portioning and plating.
• Assist with cleaning duties and washing dishes when required.
• Execute other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Superior.

• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Superior from time to time

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a similar kitchen role is preferred
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Able to perform spilt shift, work on weekends and public holidays
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods
• Passion for food and willingness to learn
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
