Roles and responsibilities.

• Constructs, installs, and repairs wooden structures and fixtures by reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials like wood, plywood, and wallboard
• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project specifications and layout work accordingly.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, and other materials using hand and power tools.
• Build frameworks for walls, floors, and roofs; construct and install cabinets, shelving, and other fixtures.
• Install structures and fixtures like windows, door frames, flooring, trim, and hardware.
• Inspect and repair or replace damaged or defective wooden structures and fixtures.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including cleaning up debris and moving materials as needed.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations, and ensure work complies with building codes.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Maintain hand tools and power equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
