Job summary

Angle Recruitment is seeking an experienced Distillates and Fuel Oil Operator for a Singapore-based role involving end-to-end physical cargo operations from nomination through close-out. • Documentation, invoicing, reconciliation, laytime, demurrage and claims.
• Inventory, storage and blending where it applies.
• Compliance with HSSE, sanctions and internal risk, without making it the whole job.

Job description

Angle Recruitment are currently supporting a key client to find a Distillates and Fuel Oil Operator who knows the North Asia to Australia trade lanes properly, and who has dealt with the main players rather than read about them.

This is a desk where the operator is part of the commercial conversation, not downstream of it. You will run cargoes end to end alongside traders who expect you to flag the problem before they ask, and you will have the autonomy to sort it.

The barrels

Middle distillates, principally jet and gas oil, alongside fuel oil. If you know where the cargoes really go and which counterparties are worth chasing, that matters more here than a long list of product codes.

What you will own

Physical cargo operations from nomination and scheduling through loading, discharge and close out. Daily contact with traders, charterers, counterparties, terminals, owners, agents and surveyors. Who fits

North Asia to Australia experience is the differentiator. Australia in particular has its own rhythm around terminals, port practice and counterparty expectations, and someone who already understands those nuances will be a long way ahead.

English is essential. Chinese, Korean, Japanese or Vietnamese would strengthen an application considerably.
