Job summary

Tan Tock Seng Hospital is seeking a Financial Counselling Patient Service Associate in the Integrated Care Hub (ICH). The role involves guiding patients and families on hospital charges, subsidies, and financing options, and ensuring a smooth admission process.

You will interact with patients, coordinate referrals and admissions, and use hospital systems to maintain records. A Diploma/NITEC or higher and good communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/NITEC or higher in any discipline is required or advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a service-oriented approach.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial counselling on hospital charges, subsidies, financial assistance schemes and payment options.
• Review and process patient referrals, admissions and transfers according to established guidelines.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals, referring institutions and internal stakeholders to facilitate patient admissions.
• Manage admission documentation, referral outcomes and patient records using hospital systems (e.g. EPIC, NBS, eFC).
• Handle patient and next-of-kin enquiries related to admissions, billing and hospital services.
• Process payments and support front-counter administrative operations.
• Monitor referral and admission workflows to ensure timely follow-up and service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with departmental and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and other departmental projects.
