Job summary

Ain Society is seeking a Cancer Navigator to support adult cancer patients and their caregivers through psycho-social care and resource coordination. You will assist clients from diagnosis through treatment and survivorship, linking them to financial aid, transport, medical supplies, and supportive services.

The role requires empathy, strong coordination, and the ability to work with diverse ages and socio-economic backgrounds, including weekend activities and home visits when needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Counselling or Psychology.
• Experience in case management and illness-related support.
• Warmth and empathy in interactions with clients and families.
• Interest in helping individuals from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
• Willingness to work with diverse age groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide psycho-social support to adult cancer patients and caregivers.
• Coordinate resources and services (financial aid, transport, equipment).
• Follow up with partners to ensure continuity of care after referrals.
• Refer to counselling or mental health support as needed.
• Document case recordings and assist with program planning and running.
