Job summary

Singapore Management University invites applications for a facilities operations role within the Office of Campus Infrastructure and Services (OCIS). You will manage soft services contracts, ensuring a clean, safe campus and coordinating with vendors to meet performance standards.

The role requires 3–5 years in a related field, with a Diploma/ Degree in Environmental Services or a related area, and strong administration skills. The position is based on campus.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Environmental Services, Building / Estate / Facilities Management, Services or related field with 3 to 5 years of experience in similar operational role.
• Familiarity with operations and vendor management.
• Relevant certification in Cleaning, Waste Management, Horticulture or Arboriculture and Pest Control is an advantage.
• Able to communicate well with stakeholders such as faculty and admin staff from other departments and divisions.
• Strong administration and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee day-to-day operations of soft services contracts such as housekeeping, landscape, pest control, waste management & events set-up.
• Address services related issues promptly, ensuring a safe campus environment.
• Conduct scheduled joint inspections with service vendors to evaluate monthly performance.
• Identify defects and shortcomings to monitor service partner performance and ensure quality standards.
• Assist in implementing and reviewing contract specifications, policies, procedures and work instructions; participate in quality improvement projects.
• Perform administrative tasks such as documentation, filing, raising purchase requests, service reports, and goods receipt.
• Housekeeping / Cleaning and Logistics: monitor cleaning standards; coordinate with vendors for routine and ad hoc requirements.
• Landscape Maintenance: monitor horticulture and arboriculture maintenance standards across facilities.
• Pest Control: address pest-related issues promptly; ensure clean and safe campus environment.
• Waste Disposal Management: assist in sustainable waste management per environmental guidelines.
• Assists in works relating to FMS during emergencies (e.g., outbreaks, major system/facilities breakdown).
