Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployment Strategist in Singapore to be the bridge between a customer’s multi-million dollar business problems and Databricks’ technical solution. You will own the entire non-technical lifecycle of an FDE engagement and partner with Account Executives to scope value, define an MVP, and write the PRD guiding engineering, delivering a successful pilot and landing.

You will report to the Director, Forward Deployed Engineering.

Qualifications

Executive Presence & Communication: A Trusted Advisor with C-suite gravitas and superb communication skills.
Product & Strategy Mindset: A Product Thinker and Systems Thinker who can perform a SWOT analysis and define what to build and why.
Relentless Execution: An Execution Driver with a Hands-On mentality to get the project done.
Ideal Experience: 2+ years as a Deployment Strategist OR 2+ years at a high-growth startup in a builder or founder capacity OR 5+ years in a senior client-facing role at a top-tier tech company or consultancy.
Proven Skills: Experience in value-based scoping (TCO/ROI), managing agile software projects, writing PRDs, and travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

Bridge customer business problems and Databricks technical solutions.
Own non-technical lifecycle of FDE engagements from discovery to value definition.
Write PRD and manage engineering backlog to deliver pilots and landing.
Lead agile execution, coordinate stakeholder communications from C-suite to engineers.
Own Day 0 launch, drive adoption, capture feedback, and iteratively prove business value.
