Job summary

Schott Singapore Pte Ltd. is seeking a Business Process Engineer – Manufacturing Quality to optimize and standardize manufacturing quality processes across global sites. You will drive governance, SAP QM enhancements, and digital workflow implementations to enable scalable quality excellence.

This role requires collaboration with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and IT. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing quality or operational excellence, strong SAP expertise, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, process engineering or operational excellence.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and quality processes based on SAP.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Quality Management System ISO9001 / IATF169494.
• SAP master data management and governance.
• Experience with ERP, MES or workflow implementation projects.
• Experience with NPI, APQP, PPAP and Manufacturing Process Change Management is preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt or BPM experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, optimize and standardize manufacturing quality business processes across global manufacturing sites.
• Drive process governance, harmonization and continuous improvement. Support New Product Introduction (NPI), Manufacturing Process Change Management and Manufacturing Quality processes (e.g. non-conformance and CAPA, inspection and control planning, rework and concession handling).
• Establish and maintain Quality Master Data governance and business process standards. Gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for digital solutions.
• Drive the setup, enhancement of SAP QM, Digital Shopfloor Quality Management, MES (quality related process), and related manufacturing systems.
• Design, configure and maintain workflow solutions (e.g. JobRouter, Power Automate) to support business process automation.
• Develop and maintain business process documentation, including process maps, business requirements and work instructions.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops and collaborate with stakeholders across Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, IT and OT.
• Define and monitor process KPIs to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Plan, establish, execute and manage the projects in collaboration with steering committees and project teams.
• Work as Quality Business Partner to support Engineering-to-Release, Inbound-to-Outbound, Schedule-to-Produce and other processes.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Business Process Engineer – Manufacturing Quality to drive the analysis, design, standardization, optimization, governance, and digital enablement of manufacturing quality business processes across our global manufacturing network at BU EP. Working within the Operational Excellence team, you will collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and IT to improve cross-functional business processes and translate business requirements into scalable digital solutions. This role combines business process engineering with workflow solution development to support the organization’s digital transformation initiatives. This position focuses on Business Process Excellence and is not responsible for day-to-day quality operations.
