Job summary

ADDVALUE INNOVATION PTE LTD is seeking a quality and process engineer to ensure products and processes comply with quality, safety and environmental regulations, meet customer specifications, and deliver on time.

You will lead process design, optimization, and documentation efforts, collaborate across Engineering, Quality, Project/Product Management and Supply Chain, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, Lean, SPC and RCA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Diploma with 5+ years relevant experience acceptable.
• Hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma, FMEA.
• Proficient in RCA and 8D problem-solving.
• Strong communication and cross-functional Collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize processes to boost efficiency, yield, capacity and cost-effectiveness.
• Diagnose and fix critical issues using RCA.
• Create and maintain PFDs, SOPs and Work Instructions.
• Lead or support projects to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, PM and Supply Chain for smooth operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement using Six Sigma, Lean, 8D and SPC.

Brief Description & Role

This position is responsible for ensuring that our products and processes comply with quality, safety and environmental regulations, consistently meeting established quality standards, customer specifications and on-time delivery. You will play a vital part in identifying and resolving quality issues, contributing to our continuous improvement initiatives, and upholding our reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities

• Process Design and Optimization: Developing new processes or improving existing ones to boost metrics like efficiency, yield, capacity, and cost-effectiveness.


• Troubleshooting: Serving as the technical expert to diagnose and fix critical issues, using tools like Root Cause Analysis (RCA).


• Documentation: Creating and maintaining critical process documents like PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI).


• Contract Manufacturing Management: Leading or supporting new project and existing product to ensure quality and on-time delivery.


• Collaboration: Working with various departments/functions (Engineering, Quality, Project/Product Management, Supply Chain Operation) to ensure smooth operations.


• Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, 8D problem-solving, and statistical process control (SPC).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Manufacturing) or a related technical field. Diploma with at least 5 years’ relevant working experience may apply.

Skills, Experiences & Knowledge

• Experience: Requires practical, hands‑on experience, which needs to be specified in terms of years and industry. (e.g. At least 2 years of experience in Electronics Manufacturing)


• Methodologies: Familiarity with continuous improvement frameworks like Lean Manufacturing, FMEA and Six Sigma.


• Strong understanding of process control methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g., SPC, MSA, Process Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, 8D).


• Possess IPC-A610 certification or extensive PCBA experience is added advantage.


• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.


• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
