Job summary

SCIENTE is seeking an entry-level Business Analyst to join the IT Applications team to support and enhance in-house applications. The role focuses on gathering requirements, translating them into specifications, and coordinating testing and UAT.

The ideal candidate has a degree in business or IT, at least 1 year in a BA role, strong communication, and a foundational knowledge of SQL. Opportunity to grow within a dynamic IT environment in Singapore.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a Business Analyst role delivering and supporting IT applications.
• Experience in gathering requirements, performing gap analysis, and preparing documentation.
• Strong understanding of business needs with interest in business process analysis and re-engineering.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write and understand queries.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements with users/product owners for multiple applications systems and platforms.
• Translate business needs so developers and users share a common understanding.
• Articulate requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Create and execute testing plans and coordinate User Acceptance Test (UAT).
• Track and report project progress, issues, and risks to ensure timely milestones.
• Support multiple application systems and platforms concurrently.
• Adhere to organization and project standards and guidelines.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science;
• Must have 1 year of experience in a Business Analyst role in delivering and supporting IT applications;
• Must have experience in gathering requirements, performing gap analysis, and preparing documentation;
• Demonstrated understanding of business needs with a strong interest in business process analysis and re-engineering;
• Foundational knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write and understand queries;
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders;
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to develop innovative solutions.

Desired Skill-set

• tCBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certified.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for working with business users/product owners to gather business requirements, supporting multiple applications systems and platforms;
• Translate business needs to ensure that developers and business users have a common consent;
• Articulate business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications;
• Create and execute testing plans and coordinate User Acceptance Test (UAT);
• Facilitate the tracking and reporting of project progress, issues, and risks to ensure timely delivery of project milestones;
• Proficient in concurrently supporting multiple application systems and platforms;
• Adhere to the organization and project standards & guidelines.
