Job summary

Tangspac Search Private Limited seeks a senior PMO/Portfolio Management professional to oversee banking technology and digital transformation initiatives. You will manage budgets, vendor contracts, and portfolio governance while coordinating cross-functional teams across finance, technology, and product to drive CtB programs.

The role requires 7–8 years in PMO or related fields, with strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for executive reporting and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 7–8 years of PMO, project coordination, business management, business operations, or project management experience.
• Experience in Banking/Financial Services preferred; exposure to Private Banking/Wealth Management advantageous.
• Experience in financial tracking, invoice management, accruals, budgeting, and vendor management desirable.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint for executive-level reports, dashboards, and MI packs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and resolve payment issues.
• Manage and maintain vendor contracts, invoices, purchase orders, and related documentation.
• Support Asia leadership in workforce planning, onboarding, and tracking for Change-the-Bank resources.
• Oversee portfolio financials: budget tracking, spend monitoring, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Provide operational support to the business management team for daily operations.
• Take on additional responsibilities and strategic initiatives as directed by the head of business management.
• Support preparation and delivery of management reports, dashboards, and executive updates.
• Collaborate with senior management, product owners, technology, and finance to govern portfolio cost and budget tracking.
• Prepare project/portfolio reports, meeting minutes, action logs, and executive summaries.
• Create high-quality presentation decks for business cases and CtB programs.
• Drive and coordinate special projects with timely execution and stakeholder alignment.

Job description

Our client is looking for a PMO / Portfolio Management / Business Management role within a Banking Technology or Digital Transformation function.

Responsibility:

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, including tracking, validation, and resolution of payment-related issues.
• Manage and maintain vendor contracts, invoices, purchase orders, and associated documentation, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and audit requirements
• Support Digital Business Transformation (DBT) Asia leadership in managing Change-the-Bank (CtB) resources, including workforce planning, onboarding, and tracking.
• Maintain oversight of portfolio financials, including budget tracking, actual spend monitoring, forecasting, accrual management, and variance analysis.
• Provide operational and administrative support to the business management Team to facilitate efficient day-to-day business operations.
• Undertake additional responsibilities and special assignments as directed by the head of business management
• Support the Head of digital transformation Asia in the preparation and delivery of periodic and ad hoc management reports, dashboards, and executive updates.
• Partner with senior management, product owners, technology teams, finance, and key stakeholders to establish and maintain effective portfolio governance, cost management, and budget tracking processes.
• Prepare project and portfolio reports, meeting minutes, action logs, and executive summaries, ensuring timely follow-up and closure of identified actions.
• Develop high-quality presentations decks for business cases, management materials for strategic initiatives and CtB programs.
• Drive and coordinate special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned, ensuring timely execution and stakeholder alignment

Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 7-8 years of experience in PMO, Project Coordination, Business Management, Business Operations, or Project Management roles.
• Experience within the Banking and Financial Services industry is preferred; exposure to Private Banking or Wealth Management would be advantageous
• Knowledge of Project Management in Private Banking is an advantage
• Experience in financial tracking, invoice management, accruals, budgeting, and vendor management is desirable.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to develop executive-level presentations, dashboards, financial reports, and management information packs.
• Excellent analytical, creative and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.
• Strong follow-through and execution skills, ensuring actions and deliverables are completed on time.
• Demonstrates initiative, ownership, and a willingness to continuously improve processes and ways of working.
