Job summary

Bell Textron Inc. in Singapore is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales and marketing of helicopters and related kits in the Asia region.

You will plan and execute development activities, identify major civil and military customers, and coordinate with regional teams to meet profit objectives. Significant travel and close collaboration with buyers and senior management are required.

Qualifications

• University degree with aviation technical skills.
• Five years aviation experience; ten years with proven sales preferred.
• Strong business acumen, time management and planning.
• Aviation pilot license or A&P in rotary-wing preferred.
• Willingness to travel as required.

This position is held responsible and accountable for marketing and sales of Bell helicopters and associated accessories and kits within his respective region in the Bell Textron Asia area.

What you’ll be doing as a Business Development Manager

• Plan, coordinate and direct business development activities in assigned countries.

• Achieve BHT’s goals of identifying and developing potential military and civil customers, with emphasis on major fleet sales programs.

• Formulate and execute effective strategies to achieve sales that meet or exceed established profit and return objectives and results in satisfactory market share.

• Oversee and supervise the performance of the Independent Representatives in assigned countries to ensure close coordination of marketing activities in the respective countries and compliance with the standards specified in their IRA’s.

• Manage and prioritize workload to ensure timely, complete and accurate preparation and submittal of program sales proposals and customer responses in assigned countries.

• Work closely with Asian Managers, Legal, business. Operations, Contracts Administration, Applications Engineering, Finance, Program Management, Commercial Estimating to ensure coordination of various BHTI inputs.

• Significant travel required to support Sales and Marketing.

• Provide reports and presentations to senior management on programs and developments as required.

• Maintain contacts with USA, Canadian and other local government Diplomatic Staffs.

• Maintain close coordination with all buyers in assigned markets.

Qualifications

• Minimum University Degree with Aviation Technical Skills

• At least five (5) years of Aviation experience in similar industry, prefer ten (10) years with proven sales.

• Good business acumen, time management, customer focus and planning skills.

• Aviation Pilot license or A&P in rotary-wing preferred.

• Able to travel when business needs arise.
